New Horizons Center for Learning is a local 501 (c) 3 non-profit school dedicated to the education of children with learning differences. Founded in 1974, New Horizons exists for students who do not feel comfortable in a traditional learning environment.
New Horizons programs cater to children K-12 with learning differences, including but not limited to; High-functioning Autism, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Social Anxieties. New Horizons dedicated team of professionals are committed to developing and implementing programs that will assist students in strategies for learning, improving their self-confidence, as well as their self esteem.
Most of the students at New Horizons struggle with typical teaching methods and require a more individual curriculum, based on their learning differences. We offer all of our students a Customized Education Plan (CEP). This plan will ensure that each student will be challenged and not frustrated and discouraged. Students are able to work at their own rate, while building self confidence with peers in a smaller environment.
New Horizons is different than other schools and we are committed to ensuring that our program is a right fit for your student. Since every child is different and there are no "one size fits all" educational programs....New Horizons has a different approach. We encourage all prospective families to tour our school to see for themselves if New Horizons is a perfect fit for their child. We also offer free trial programs to further ensure a perfect fit.
